DETAILS:  Trade in food and agriculture has often been treated as special cases in trade law and trade negotiations.  Our knowledgeable and experienced panel will address current conditions and issues in agricultural trade, explore the reasons for often disappointing results from previous multilateral and bilateral trade negotiations, and debate the extent of overlap between the trade concerns of American farmers, ranchers and manufacturers.  We anticipate a wide-ranging discussion covering many agricultural products and trade issues such as currency misalignment, subsidies, targeting, standards and labeling, and product safety.

A complimentary breakfast meeting buffet will be available.
