Prof. Navarro will explain why the Obama Administration’s policy approach to the current economic crisis will not lead the US along the path towards a longer term prosperity. Only by rebuilding America’s industrial base will long term prosperity be achieved. A key policy ingredient to achieve that goal -- conspicuously missing from the Obama agenda -- is restructuring of the current U.S.-China trade relationship and its collateral large trade imbalances. Prof Navarro is the author of The Coming China Wars and a CNBC contributor and has testified before the U.S.- China Commission and Congress on China and economic policies.
