On February 4, 2009, the Senate voted on John McCain's amendment to the stimulus bill which would strike the Buy American requirements in the bill. The full roll call vote is below the fold.

Text: "Notwithstanding any other provision of this Act, the utilization of funds appropriated or otherwise made available by this Act shall not be subject to any Buy American requirement in a provision of this Act. ... [T]he term "Buy American requirement" means a requirement in a provision of this Act that an item may be procured only if the item is grown, processed, reused, or produced in the United States."
