Bill Jones was appointed President and CEO of Penn United Technologies, Inc. in 2004, succeeding his father Carl, the founding President of the employee-owned company. Prior to this, Mr. Jones served as Manager of Precision Assembly, Automation, and Prototyping and then VP of Tooling Manufacturing. He served on the President's Manufacturing Council of the Department of Commerce from 2007 through 2010 and has remained dedicated to continuing Penn United’s strong support of CPA as one of its founding companies.
Beginning as an apprentice in 1981, Mr. Jones rose through the ranks of Penn United because of his strong moral values and his ability to motivate teams to create new and profitable manufacturing solutions, exemplifying the leadership and innovation that are the hallmarks of this world-class tooling and precision manufacturing corporation. Mr. Jones has led Penn United through several major transitions in the midst of a challenging economy and roiling global markets. This includes acquisitions as well as the introduction of new product lines to leverage the competencies of the company into new markets while maintaining the stability and profitability of the company.
During his tenure, Penn United has received recognition as Healthiest Employer, National Award Winner for Wellness, Healthiest 100 Workplaces in America and in 2013 – Manufacturer of the Year.
He is a husband, a father of three, a Deacon in Westminster PCA Church where he has served as President, and a major supporter of several area Christian schools and ministries. He has served as a Board Member of the local Boy Scouts of America organization.
