USTR Proposals Which Are New, Sensible and Controversial

Several proposals tabled by the Office of the US Trade Representative in the fourth round of NAFTA negotiations are supported by domestic producers but opposed by multinationals and the import (global supply chain) lobby.  The Coalition for a Prosperous America's support for these proposals are detailed below. 

CPA drafted 21st Century Trade Agreement Principles in 2013 which are supported by hundreds of domestic producers in the form of manufacturing associations and companies, agriculture associations and labor organizations. Several of the USTR's "America First" NAFTA proposals are consistent with these principles.
